Two years ago, when I embarked on the journey of creating my own prints, I knew it would be a challenging but rewarding path. Since the inception of my company, we have used high-quality, ready-made fabrics, available for anyone to purchase. These fabrics helped me establish a vibrant identity, reflecting a Caribbean-inspired theme that our clients love. However, creating my own prints marked a deeper dive into design, opening vulnerable doors and pushing me beyond my comfort zone.
The Power of Faith
The faith that sustained me was simple: "I CAN." My close relationship with God intertwined this belief with trust in His power. My faith was rooted in my purpose of inspiring others, creating job opportunities, and providing a better future for my family.Embracing the Struggle
Dreams do not come easy. My journey was fraught with self-doubt and fear: “give up,” “no one is going to like this,” “you can’t do this.” However, I urge you to dig deep and shed the protective layers of comfort. Take a leap or even a small step outside your comfort zone, and change your internal dialogue to: “maybe it will work out,” “maybe it will be beautiful,” “things will eventually flow,” “you are talented and creative.”
